Darren G. Meadows practices in the areas of corporate, transactional, and local government law, specializing in environmental matters.
Prior to joining the Hull firm, Mr. Meadows served for five years as in-house counsel with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division in the Hazardous Waste Branch in Atlanta. He also has experience as Compliance Facilitator with Browning-Ferris Industries' Atlanta Landfill District and as a Legislative Attache in the 1991 Session of the Georgia General Assembly.
Mr. Meadows advises individual and corporate clients and represents their interests before state and federal regulatory agencies, as well as in negotiations and disputes with private parties. He employs both business and environmental expertise in coordinating and overseeing environmental due diligence efforts for real estate and corporate transactions, and managing both long and short-term remediation projects.
Admitted to practice in 1994, Mr. Meadows is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Augusta Bar Association. He previously served as a board member for the Georgia Air & Waste Management Association, the Environmental and Toxic Torts Section of the Atlanta Bar and the Environmental Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Meadows earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business in 1990. He received his Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law in 1994, where he served as President of the Environmental Law Society.
A native of Covington, Georgia, Mr. Meadows married Miss Cynthia (Cindy) Gaye Hickman of Thomson, Georgia in 1994. Mrs. Meadows is a CPA in Thomson, Georgia where Darren and Cindy reside with their two daughters.
