George
R. Hall has an active trial practice with a concentration
in personal injury defense and commercial matters. Mr. Hall has, since
1986, handled cases on both the federal and state court levels in Georgia
and South Carolina. He has also handled appeals in state appellate courts
of Georgia and South Carolina, as well as the Fourth and Eleventh Circuit
Courts of Appeal. Mr. Hall has tried cases involving all types of tort
claims, product liability claims, FELA claims, truth-in lending claims, civil
rights, lender liability, banking issues, lease and contract disputes.
Mr. Hall has served as a mediator and arbitrator since
1997. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and
the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He is listed in
the “Best Lawyers in America” for Personal Injury Litigation and “Georgia
Super Lawyers” for Civil Litigation Defense.
Mr. Hall has also been active in state and local bar
activities. He served as president of the Younger Lawyers Club of Augusta
from 1993 - 1994, and served as the President for the Augusta Bar
Association in 2007. He is an active member of both the National
Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the Georgia Defense Lawyers
Association, for which he is a past Director. Mr. Hall currently
serves on the Advisory Committee for the United States District Court for
the Southern District of Georgia.
Mr. Hall is also active in local community activities. He
is actively involved in the Little League program in the Augusta area. He
has also served as a deacon and elder at Reid Memorial Presbyterian
Church. Mr. Hall and his wife, Margaret, have been married since 1985,
and have two (2) sons.
Mr. Hall graduated summa
cum laude from Presbyterian College in 1983. He received his
J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1986. Mr. Hall was a member
of the Order of the Coif while at the University of South Carolina.
