James S. V. Weston practices in the areas of general tort defense, professional malpractice defense, insurance coverage and commercial litigation.  He has practiced in State Courts throughout Georgia and in the Northern, Middle and Southern Federal District Courts of Georgia.  Before joining the firm, Mr. Weston worked for two law firms in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has served as lead and assistant counsel in a number of jury and bench trials.

Mr. Weston is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Augusta Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Exchange Club of Richmond County and the Kiwanis Club of Augusta.  He also serves as an alternate representative for the Young Lawyers Division (10th District) of the State Bar of Georgia.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Weston was the law clerk to the Superior Court Judges of the Augusta Judicial Circuit.  He earned a B.A. from the University of the South in 1991 and his J.D. from Mercer University in 1996.  He also attended Innsbruck University in Innsbruck, Austria.

Mr. Weston and his wife, Kristen, have one daughter.  They attend the Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
