Mark S. Burgreen practices in the areas of tax and business law with an emphasis on corporate transactions, securities law and estate planning. Mr. Burgreen consults with large and small businesses and their owners in a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing activities, estate and business succession planning, and general tax matters. In the tax area, he has focused on business reorganizations, choice of business entity, tax-exempt financing, charitable organizations, real estate investment trusts, estate and gift tax, and state and local taxation.

Mr. Burgreen is admitted to practice in Georgia and South Carolina. In the Georgia Bar Association, he is a member of the Taxation, Fiduciary Law and Corporate Law Sections. He is a member of the American Bar Association and its Sections of Taxation, Real Property and Probate, and Business Law. Mr. Burgreen is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.

Mr. Burgreen received a Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) in 1986 from New York University. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1985, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. He received an A.B. summa cum laude from Erskine College in 1982.
