R. E. (Rand) Hanna, III practices in the areas of commercial and corporate law, lending, and real estate law in the Aiken, South Carolina office of the firm.
Mr. Hanna is admitted to practice law in both Georgia and South Carolina and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of South Carolina, the American Bar Association, and the Aiken Bar Association. Mr. Hanna is admitted to practice in the state courts of South Carolina and the state and federal courts of Georgia.
His practice centers on representing banking and corporate clients in transactions such as commercial loans, real estate acquisitions, corporate acquisitions and mergers. He also represents lenders in commercial loan workouts, bankruptcy matters, collections and foreclosures.
He is a member of St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Aiken Center for the Arts, is a graduate of the Leadership Aiken County, and has served on boards of numerous other charitable organizations.
Mr. Hanna earned his B.S.E.E. from West Virginia University in 1988. He earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 1993, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. Mr. Hanna co-authored an article entitled "O.C.G.A. § 44-14-361.5 Protection Against Remote Liens of Persons Without Privity of Contract," for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia.
Mr. Hanna is married to the former Emily Dinges of Augusta, Georgia, and they are the parents of four sons, Nicholas, Brandon, Benjamin and Luke.
