William H. Tucker practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate, and business/corporate law in the Aiken office of the firm.
Prior to his joining the firm in 1980, Mr. Tucker served as an Assistant Solicitor for the Second Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of South Carolina, and is a member of the Aiken County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Tucker's practice has centered on wealth transfer issues for individuals and owners of closely held businesses, the administration of decedents' estates and trusts, as well as residential and commercial real estate transactions and small business transfers.
Mr. Tucker is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken where serves as an Elder and has been on numerous church committees. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Aiken Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Tri-Development Center of Aiken County, Aiken County Junior Achievement, the Commission on the Future of Aiken County, and the Green Boundary Club. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Aiken County, a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Aiken, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Palmetto Golf Club.
Mr. Tucker received his B. A. degree from DePauw University in 1974 and his J. D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1978.
He is married to the former Sandra B. Etherington of Upper Montclair, NJ, and they are the parents of a son, William Bennett Tucker.
